Kate Kamau

Kate is an experienced and accomplished legal professional with over five (5) years of immense experience in corporate Governance, Management, Regulatory and Compliance Services. Her extensive background in legal affairs ensures that Inspire Credit operates with integrity, adherence, to legal standards, robust governance practices and advisory on customer data protection matters.
She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya who holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from the Kabarak University and a post graduate Diploma (PGD) from the Kenya School of Law.Kate is also a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) in good standing and a certified professional Mediator from Mediation Training Institute (MTI).
Peter Gakinya

Peter is a seasoned HR leader with over 20 years of experience across diverse sectors, currently serving as the Head of HR & Talent Acquisition at Inspire Credit Limited where he offers scalable, end-to-end HR solutions. His expertise includes strategy execution, performance enhancement, HR compliance, and labour law adherence. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management, a bachelor’s in business management (HR), and advanced HR certifications.
Peter previously served as Group Head of HR at AAR Insurance for 9 years, managing HR functions across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia. He is renowned for his ability to align human capital with strategic objectives and passionate about connecting organizational purpose with talent to drive cohesive, goal-directed efforts.
Veronica Mugendi
Senior Manager
Veronica is a seasoned finance professional with over 17 years of experience, currently serving as a Senior Manager at Inspire Credit. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and Marketing from the University of Nairobi, Veronica has held pivotal roles at Faulu Microfinance Bank Ltd and Kenya Women Finance Trust, where she honed her expertise in relationship management, microfinance management, finance, risk management and leadership.
She is renowned for her strategic acumen and commitment to professional development, evidenced by her participation in specialized training programs covering areas such as Strategic Planning and Leadership Skills, Emerging Market Trends on SMEs, Customer Service, Coaching, Default Management and Management Supervision. With her comprehensive skill set and unwavering dedication, Veronica continues to drive success and innovation in the finance sector.
Mourine Etakwa
Head of Branch Network
Mourine Etakwa is currently serving as the Head of the Branch Network at Inspire Credit Limited, where she leads operations, performance management, and growth initiatives across the institution’s branch network. In this strategic role, she ensures the alignment of branch activities with the company’s vision while fostering strong customer relationships and compliance with regulatory standards.
Mourine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from The Technical University of Kenya and a Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies from the African Institute of Research and Development Studies (AIRADS).
She brings over a decade of experience in microfinance and credit operations, having held leadership roles such as Operations Associate at Jaza Capital, Branch Manager at Jirani Smart Microfinance, Team Leader at Apex Collections Africa and Nimble Group Kenya, and Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager at 4G Capital. Her expertise spans branch management, collections and recoveries, fraud prevention, team training, and the implementation of financial inclusion strategies.
